The existing store has a signage portal blocking the visibility towards the store. The design options are configured in a semi-circular peripheral wall to allow maximum sight line as well as retaining the BOH and curve wall. With the semi-circular backdrop, design options with different focus point were developed. One is having a sculptural mass leaning on the other side wall, another one is completing the semi-circular shape and focusing on a central sculpture piece.
The POS is free-form and act as the center piece to provide the visual anchor for the store. The visual merchandising area is lowered for display and the side of the POS are shaped to allow more leg room for customers. All the edges are rounded and smoothened to ensure the experience of touching.

The design went for a renewable approach. Sustainable sourced cork was chosen as the primary material, for its sustainability and earthy texture. Solid blocks of this modest, subtly tactile substance were used to create all fittings and fixtures—from product storage cabinets to the large demonstration sink and central volume. Its warm hue is complemented by natural pigment lime paint on the walls and ceiling. The store’s fluid lines and gentle curvature guide visitors through the interior; a bench seat at the rear provides a place in which to take a moment’s rest.
